Check out this end of Spring 2019 message from Coach Scott:
Elite RBI Parents
I want to first say Thank You for trusting in my team of coaches to coach your son this spring season. I set out on a goal to not only put together a winning select program, but to also provide this community of kids a competitive and effective learning experience. It’s my hope that each athlete learned as much from us as we learned from them. Our goals were not only reached but exceeded and you parents are the start of that success. I personally thank each one of you for your trust and contribution to this team.
As most of you know, we have decided to move on from coach pitch and continue on improving. We’ll be learning how baseball is truly played in 9U kid pitch this coming fall. I realize that most of our kids are still league age 8 and can continue to play coach pitch in the fall. Another season of coach pitch could be beneficial for some kids. If you decide to continue coach pitch for your son in the fall, I completely understand and support that decision.
Tryouts
We took some risks this season playing without any subs and picking up kids in certain situations for a couple tournaments. This is not something we want in this coming fall season. Especially considering the amount of pitching I feel we will need to stay competitive. Additionally, I have been approached by several families inquiring about joining our team. For these reasons, I have decided to host a tryout for 9U kid pitch in the fall. Our tryout will be at Williamson County Softball Fields Sunday Aug 4 from 11-2. Anyone that wants to be on the team moving forward will need to be a part of this tryout process.
The goals for our tryout will be to select a number of kids that will help us with our sub rotation, our pitching rotation, and allow us to stay competitive playing up in 9U. Please reach out with any questions you may have, and thanks again for a great season.
Sincerely,
Scott Marquardt
